National Plan For Vacation Day 2019

National Plan for Vacation Day, celebrated on the last Tuesday of January, is a day to encourage Americans to plan their vacation days for the rest of the year at the start of the year.

America heard the message loud and clear on National Plan for Vacation Day 2018: it’s time to stop making excuses and start making plans. More than 2,500 travel organizations and influencers in all 50 states came together in driving media coverage, sharing the message on social, and encouraging staff to plan their days. We hope you planned a few for yourself, too.

In just its second year, we saw National Plan for Vacation Day make more than 500 headlines from coast to coast and 15,000 posts with off-the-charts social media engagement—becoming the #3 trending topic on Twitter.

Thank you to everyone who joined our rallying call. With your help, we are chipping away at America’s unused vacation days —that’s the power of planning.

It’s not too early to save the day for 2019. Join us to #PlanForVacation on January 29, 2019.
